The Role of Color Dice Media in Islamic Education Learning as an Educational Tool for Introducing the Pillars of Faith and the Pillars of Islam to Students at Slatri 02 Public Elementary School

This study aims to examine the role of color dice media as an educational tool in Islamic Education learning for introducing the Pillars of Faith and the Pillars of Islam to fourth-grade students at Slatri 02 Public Elementary School, Brebes. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach conducted through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving students, the Islamic Education teacher, and the school principal. The findings show that the use of color dice created a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment, increased students’ learning motivation and active participation, and supported their understanding and retention of fundamental Islamic concepts. The activity also encouraged cooperation, responsibility, social interaction, and positive religious attitudes. The novelty of this study lies in positioning color dice not merely as a game-based learning medium but as a simple, contextual, and multidimensional Islamic Education tool that integrates visual, kinesthetic, cognitive, social, and character-development dimensions in learning the Pillars of Faith and the Pillars of Islam. These findings demonstrate the potential of low-cost educational games to strengthen innovative and meaningful Islamic Education practices at the elementary school level.
