Post-Publication Discussion Policy

AL GHAZALI: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Islam encourages scholarly dialogue, critical engagement, and constructive discussion concerning articles published in the journal. Post-publication discussion provides an opportunity for researchers, lecturers, educators, and readers to share scholarly perspectives, raise questions, clarify interpretations, and contribute to the continuous development of knowledge in Islamic education and related disciplines.

1. Submission of Comments and Scholarly Responses

Readers who wish to comment on, question, or respond to a published article may contact the journal's editorial office through the official communication channels provided on the journal's website. Submissions should be academically relevant, evidence-based, respectful, and directly related to the content, methodology, findings, or arguments of the published article.

Comments intended for consideration by the journal should clearly identify the article being discussed, provide the relevant publication details, and present a reasoned explanation supported by appropriate scholarly references where necessary.

2. Editorial Assessment

All submissions intended for formal publication as post-publication comments or scholarly responses are subject to editorial assessment. The editorial team evaluates their relevance, originality, academic quality, factual accuracy, and compliance with publication ethics.

Where appropriate, the editor may invite the original authors to respond to substantive comments or criticisms. The journal may also seek independent expert advice when a discussion raises significant methodological, factual, or ethical concerns.

3. Academic Integrity and Respectful Discussion

Post-publication discussions must adhere to the principles of academic integrity, objectivity, fairness, and professional respect. Personal attacks, defamatory statements, discriminatory language, unsupported allegations, and comments unrelated to legitimate scholarly discussion will not be considered for publication.

Concerns regarding research integrity, plagiarism, data reliability, or other possible forms of misconduct will be handled in accordance with the journal's relevant publication ethics policies.

4. Corrections and Retractions

If a post-publication discussion identifies credible evidence of a significant error or ethical concern in a published article, the journal will assess the matter and determine whether further investigation or corrective action is necessary.

Depending on the findings, the journal may publish a correction, an expression of concern, a retraction, or another appropriate editorial notice. Such actions will be undertaken in accordance with established publication ethics principles to preserve the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

5. Transparency and Editorial Independence

The journal seeks to ensure that substantive post-publication discussions and responses are handled transparently and fairly. Editorial decisions will be based on scholarly merit, relevance, evidence, and ethical considerations rather than personal relationships, institutional affiliations, or the academic status of the individuals involved.
