This research analyzes Sheikh Abdus Shamad Al-Palimbani's perspective on the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs (purification of the soul) as elucidated in his work Hidayatus Salikin. The present study employs a library research method with a qualitative-descriptive approach, examining the primary source Hidayatus Salikin and various related secondary literature. The primary objective of the research is to comprehend how Sheikh Abdus Shamad delineates and elucidates the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs in the life of a Muslim. The findings of the research indicate that Tazkiyatun Nafs in Sheikh Abdus Shamad's thought is founded on three primary aspects: worship, ethics, and Sufism. The objective of this concept is to attain spiritual perfection through mujahadah (struggle against desires) and riyadhah (spiritual training), which are said to result in purity of heart and closeness to Allah. This research makes an important contribution to understanding the Islamic intellectual heritage in the Nusantara, as well as its relevance in modern life
